Vehicle and vessel licenses may be renewed online, by mail or in person.

To renew your vehicle or vessel license online, go the the Vehicles & Boats page of the Washington State Department of Licensing website.
By Mail

You can also drop off your renewal notice and payment in the secure drop box located outside the Courthouse (next to the Sheriff's Office).
Renewal Notices
Vehicle licenses expire annually in Washington State. Vehicle renewal notices are mailed to owners by the Washington State Department of Licensing. Vehicle owners are encouraged to receive license renewals by email, as it is likely that renewal notices will not be mailed in the future. Register your email on the Vehicle & Boats page of the Washington State Department of Licensing website, in the "How do I?" section.
All vessel decal/registrations expire June 30th. Vessel renewal post cards are mailed to owners by the Washington State Department of Licensing. Decals can be renewed up to 6 months before they expire.
