Responsibilities
Information Services provides technology management for all County departments. The division is separated into three work units:
Operations
The Operations Unit oversees the daily operation of all servers, their operating environment
and the data communications network.
Desktop Computer Support & Procurement
The Desktop Computer Support and Procurement Unit
provides direct assistance to County staff through its helpdesk operation. This unit also coordinates the full life cycle of desktop computers, including procurement, maintenance, repair, replacement
and surplus.
Applications Support & Consulting
The Applications Support and Consulting Unit function
helps departments achieve maximum utilization from Information Technology applications.
Mission
The mission of Information Services is to optimize, coordinate, and deploy County Information Technology resources to support effective delivery of County public service.
Goals & Objectives
- Assist County departments to acquire, implement, and use appropriate technology-based applications.
- Minimize cost and maximize effectiveness of desktop computing devices.
- Support County business by providing robust, efficient, and problem-free computer and data network operations.
