Building permit applications are submitted online in the SJC Permit Center. Preparing all supporting documentation (such as recent water availability and sewage system records, a site plan, or construction drawings) is recommended before applying. Beginning May 1, 2025: Plans for plumbing and mechanical routing/termination will be required for all permits.
