The annual hazardous waste roundup begins this year on Decatur Island May 22nd, followed by San Juan Island June 11 (businesses) and June 12 households, Orcas Island June 19, and Lopez Island June 26th. Other outer islands will have collections later this year, or in 2022.
For the Ferry served Islands, bring your hazardous materials to the transfer stations - times and materials can be found at the link below. New this year is the PaintCare WA program which allows for all latex (water-based) paints to be collected for reuse or recycling.
