SAN JUAN COUNTY, WA. August 23, 2024 – The Office of the Secretary of State has directed all Washington State Counties to conduct a manual recount for the Office Commissioner of Public Lands. Each County, including San Juan County, will conduct the recount individually.
The County Canvassing Board has scheduled the recount to begin on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 9 a.m. The recount will take place at the Elections Office at 55 Second St, Suite A, in Friday Harbor. If needed, the recount will continue on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 9 a.m.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to RCW 42.30, that the San Juan County Canvassing Board or its duly appointed delegates will convene at 3 p.m., September 3, 2024, for the purpose of certifying the manual recount of the votes cast during the 2024 August 6, Primary Election for the office of Commissioner of Public Lands. This meeting will convene in the San Juan County Elections Office at 55 Second St, Suite A, Friday Harbor, WA.
All interested members of the public are invited to observe, both the recount and the certification meeting, either in person or virtually. The Elections Office will livestream the recount on our YouTube channel: San Juan County Elections (https://tinyurl.com/y4pzq86p).
