‘How should San Juan County prioritize Public Works projects?’ Asks New Survey

SAN JUAN COUNTY, WA. April 10, 2023 – San Juan County's Public Works wants to hear from YOU! How often do you use marine facilities? Do you feel safe driving, biking, or walking on County roads? How should funding be prioritized into the future? 

These questions and more will guide the County in planning for future road and infrastructure projects. San Juan County residents are invited to complete the survey by May 15th on the County’s Engage platform: engage.sanjuancountywa.gov/how-should-your-roads-work-for-you  

About the Survey

Participating in the survey is easy, free, and anonymous. Users simply follow the link to the survey and begin answering questions. 

Background

The Public Works Department is responsible for construction and maintenance of facilities and programs that support essential public services related to transportation infrastructure across the islands. These services and programs include multi-modal travel infrastructure (widened road shoulders, separated paths, etc.), marine infrastructure (docks, ramps, etc.), and more.
