SAN JUAN COUNTY, WA. September 20 - The San Juan County Public Works Department will be installing new stop signs on Orcas Island. The new stop signs will be located on A Street and Prune Alley, in Eastsound Village.
The new stop sign on A Street will be located on the south side of the street. The new stop signs on Prune Alley will be located on both the east and west sides on the street.
“We are installing these stop signs in the name of public safety,” said San Juan County Public Works Superintendent Russ Bruland. “Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians will benefit from the added safety of these new stop signs.”
The installation of the new stop signs will take place over the next few weeks, and are expected to be completed by late October.
