SAN JUAN COUNTY, WA. July 7, 2025 – The San Juan County Council will be joining Governor Bob Ferguson for a public meeting on July 14 to discuss ferry service in the San Juan Islands. This will be the councilmembers' first formal meeting with the new Governor.
The public is invited to share experiences and feedback about Washington State Ferries with Governor Ferguson and state and county leaders.

- When: Monday, July 14 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm
- Where: Orcas Center (Madrona Room) 917 Mt. Baker Rd, Eastsound, WA
The meeting will be attended by Governor Bob Ferguson, WSDOT Transportation Secretary Julie Meredith, Deputy Secretary for Washington State Ferries Steve Nevey, and San Juan County Councilmembers Kari McVeigh (District 1), Justin Paulsen (District 2), and Jane Fuller (District 3). Additional County staff will be present to report on the County’s recent marine transportation services pilot project.
