Staff will brief the San Juan County Council and Planning Commission on the Draft Lopez Village Plan (Draft Plan) on August 17, 2017 at joint meeting. This meeting will be held in the County Council Chambers, 55 Second Street, Friday Harbor. It will be live-streamed for on-line viewing.
On July 27, 2018, the Lopez Planning and Review Committee (LVPRC) unanimously recommended to forward the Draft Plan to County Council for legislative review. In addition, they recommended that the draft development regulations, standard details and implementation plan be considered. The LVPRC’s recommendation was subject to some minor revisions/additions. These LVPRC requests were addressed in the August 3rd draft except for minor adjustment to several maps and the addition of an introduction about how to use the plan. These map and minor edits will be incorporated into the public hearing draft.
A public hearing on the Draft Plan and development regulations is tentatively scheduled on September 21 at the Lopez Center for the Community and the Arts in Lopez Village. Please mark your calendars.
