No RV Dump Station on San Juan Island

The Town of Friday Harbor RV dump station will not be available for the 2023 season. There are no other RV dump stations on San Juan Island. Please plan accordingly. No RV Dump Station on San Juan Island

Important Information for RV Campers

For San Juan Park, Odlin Park, and the County Fairgrounds, one RV or trailer per campsite is allowed. One towing or towed vehicle is allowed in a campsite with trailer or RV at no additional charge (when site space allows), see below for size limits. RV's and trailers are not advisable at Shaw County Park.

RV and trailer space is limited at the County Park campgrounds and may require special advance arrangements. RV's are not allowed in some sites. If you plan to bring an RV, you must select a suitable site when you make your reservation, no hook-ups are available (partial hook-ups available at Fairgrounds). Unfortunately, oversize RV’s/campers/trailers will be refused a campsite. If you have an oversize vehicle, please consider the County Fairgrounds for your RV stay on San Juan Island.

Maximum RV Lengths in Each Park

San Juan County Park

There are several options for *small* RVs/camper vans at San Juan County Park *. No hook-ups or water tank filling available.

Single unit RVs or trailers up to 25ft long and 12ft tall permitted in sites 6, 7, 10, & 15. Single unit RVs and trailers up to 20ft long and 12ft tall permitted in campsite 5. Single unit RVs up to 20ft long and 12ft tall permitted in campsite 9 (no trailers).

*Most small campers, such as VW pop-up campers can fit in any campsites at San Juan Park. Maximum vehicle size in non-RV sites is 9 feet high by 20 feet long.

Odlin County Park

There are several options for RVs/camper vans at Odlin Park *. No hook-ups or water tank filling available.

Sites 5 & 9: <22ft for a *single unit* RV or 30ft for trailer + vehicle
Sites 6 & 7: <20ft total length
Sites 8A, 8B, and 10: <30ft total length

Please read site descriptions carefully for length restrictions. Trailers less than 10 feet in length are allowed in sites #16, 18-22, and 24 (must unhook and move by hand).

*Small campers, such as VW pop-up campers can fit in any campsites except 1-4 and 25-30. Maximum vehicle size in non-RV sites is 9 feet high by 20 feet long. NO RVs or trailers permitted in campsites 11-30.

Shaw County Park

Due to the small size of Shaw Park, RVs or trailers are not advised. Vehicles up to 20ft in length are accepted in the designated parking space for each campsite; parking space may not be level. Please plan accordingly.

Fairground RV Campsites

Located less than a mile from downtown Friday Harbor, the San Juan County Fairgrounds offers eight RV camping pedestals. Nightly rate is $50 plus tax per site. Cost includes up to five people and one towed vehicle/vessel/trailer. Extra people, up to 8 maximum, are charged $8 per night. Extra non-towed vehicle, two maximum, is $15 plus tax per night. Each pedestal is equipped with water and power hook-ups, 20/30 AMP. Sewage hookup not included in site fee. Restrooms, including showers, are available with your reservation upon check-in and are open year-round. Ten day maximum stay in a 30-day period. Fairgrounds group camping is the only tent camping available. Our grassy, forested group camp is $180 plus tax per night for up to 50 people. Extra people, up to 100 maximum, are charged $8 per night. Amenities include vault toilets, outdoor sink/water spigot, picnic tables, large fire pit. No showers.
