Emergency Local Court Rule Change Effective January 1, 2024

LCR 77 - Proposed

San Juan County Superior Court is changing its regular schedule effective January 1, 2024, in order to support a 32-hour work week for County staff working in or with the Court. The primary change is that Friday calendars, including the civil law and motion calendar, will move to Tuesdays. Trials now will take place Wednesday through Friday. The Court will still be open on Fridays, but only trials, in-custody criminal matters, and emergency ex parte matters will be considered on Fridays. The modified LCR 77 implements these scheduling changes as well as additional minor schedule changes.

You have 30 days to comment on the proposed rule change – until December 15, 2023. Please send your written comments to Superior Court Administration
